Ajax Security System Installation and Management

Every system we install is designed to deliver reliable performance, long-term protection, and complete peace of mind.

System Access & Security

Users are provided with standard system access to ensure ease of use, while maintaining the integrity and security of the system.

Administrative access to critical system settings is not provided. This prevents unauthorised changes or errors that could compromise system performance and ensures your security system operates to the highest standards.

Professional Installation Standards

As an authorised Ajax PRO installation company, we take full responsibility for ensuring every system is installed and configured in line with industry standards.

Ajax is a professional-grade intruder alarm system, certified to Grade 2 or higher. It is designed specifically for professional installation and is not suitable for DIY setup.

All system configuration and setup must be carried out by authorised Ajax PRO installers to ensure compliance, reliability, and optimal performance.

Certified Ajax Specialists

N.S.L Security Systems Ltd is an official Ajax partner, having successfully completed all required training and certification through Ajax Academy.

Our certifications reflect our expertise and commitment to delivering installations to the highest professional standards.

We regularly renew our Ajax certifications and complete the latest training and technical assessments to ensure our knowledge remains fully up to date with new products, firmware updates, installation standards, and best practices.

Hardware Supply & Installation Policy

We only supply and install Ajax equipment that we provide ourselves. We do not install systems or devices purchased independently by customers.

This ensures:

  • Full system compatibility

  • Reliable performance

  • Complete warranty support

  • Correct configuration from installation

Genuine Products & Premium Systems

All hardware is sourced directly from authorised UK Ajax distributors, ensuring authenticity, reliability, and full manufacturer warranty support.

We exclusively install higher-grade Ajax product lines, including:

  • Ajax Superior

  • Ajax Fibra

This guarantees your system is built using the latest, most advanced technology available.

System Placement & Installation Considerations

We carefully plan the optimal positioning of all system components, including detectors, hubs, keypads, and signal range extenders, to ensure reliable performance and strong communication.

Device placement is discussed with you during installation, and while we aim to keep systems as discreet as possible, some components must be positioned correctly to ensure effective operation.

Building materials such as reinforced concrete, metal structures, mirrored glass, or steel cladding can affect wireless signals. In some cases, additional equipment such as range extenders may be required.

Environmental factors such as humidity, heat, rainwater flow, or condensation may also influence installation methods. Where necessary, protective measures and alternative mounting solutions will be used.

Network Requirements & Configuration

All Ajax and network-connected devices are configured using DHCP (automatic IP addressing) as standard.

We supply and install our own gigabit PoE network switch as part of the system, and security equipment is not connected to customer-provided switches.

A free Ethernet port must be available on your router to provide an uplink connection.

Where required, we may install a suitable data cabinet to house equipment such as the PoE switch, NVR, and associated hardware.

For larger or IT-managed networks, any required configuration changes must be carried out by the client’s IT provider.

System Responsibility After Handover

Once installation is complete and the system has been handed over, it is considered fully operational.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the system is used correctly, including arming and disarming the system when required and responding to alerts or notifications.

Devices must remain powered, connected, and free from obstruction or damage to ensure continued performance.

If devices are moved, disconnected, or interfered with after installation, this may affect system performance and require additional engineering work.

System Changes & Third-Party Equipment

After installation, the system is configured based on the property layout and network at the time.

Changes to routers, switches, power supplies, or connected devices by third parties may affect system performance.

If faults arise due to external changes or third-party interference, additional visits or support may be required and will be chargeable.

System Integrity & Network Responsibility

All systems are professionally configured, tested, and handed over fully operational.

Any changes made to system settings or network configuration after installation fall outside the original scope of work.

Issues arising from such changes may require additional support or call-out services.

Important Information

For safety and reliability, all system maintenance, adjustments, and configuration changes should be carried out by authorised professionals.

We are always happy to assist with ongoing support; however, any work carried out after installation may be subject to standard call-out and labour charges unless covered by a maintenance agreement.
