Ajax Hub SIM Card Service
Ajax Intruder Alarm System
The Ajax Hub SIM Card Service enables the connectivity of the Ajax Hub, the central unit of the system, to the internet for transmitting alarm notifications. Various channels can be used for this internet connection, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and SIM Card. The hub is available in two versions: with 2G and 2G/3G/4G.
While an Ethernet connection is the preferred option, the use of a SIM card is viable if an Ethernet connection is unavailable. In such cases, the SIM card can serve as a backup channel by being placed in the Hub.
It’s essential to note that the primary link to the Cloud is always the Ethernet cable connecting your router to the Hub. However, in the event of a home internet outage, the SIM card’s data connection can sustain the Cloud connection. This ensures that notifications generated by the Hub, such as burglary alerts, will continue to be delivered to your phone.

FREE Ajax Intruder Alarm Battery Replacement
Once a year, there is an Ajax Aftercare Maintenance on-site visit to ensure the equipment’s full functionality, maintaining the system’s performance and reliability. During this visit, an engineer will perform physical and visual inspections to detect any damages and ensure that all components are in working order. A checklist log will be filled out to document and report any potential defects or issues with the system. Additionally, all hardware, including the external cameras, will be cleaned to remove dust and residue.
The engineer will also conduct checks on various aspects, such as the hard drive, playback recording, network connection, cables, firmware updates, and system testing. Battery levels of the Ajax Wireless Intruder Alarm System will be examined, and if the battery is found to be low, it will be replaced at no cost during the annual on-site visit.
As part of our Ajax Aftercare Maintenance Service, in the event of a system fault, an engineer will be promptly arranged for assistance. Remote maintenance service checks will also occur.

Over time, the components of your alarm system, such as batteries, can wear out or degrade, impacting the system’s performance. Ajax batteries typically have a lifespan of 3 to 7 years, depending on usage and environmental factors.
To ensure your system stays reliable and responsive, it’s essential to have periodic checks and maintenance. Our On-Demand Care Service is ideal for those who didn’t opt for an ongoing Ajax Aftercare Maintenance Service plan but want to ensure their system continues to operate at peak performance years after installation.

We use QVIS Monitoring Ltd, the most accredited Ajax Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in the UK, to offer secure remote monitoring services. Our Grade 2 alarm-certified solution provides additional peace of mind and protection, along with visual verification and home automation features, ensuring 24-hour security.
How does Alarm Monitoring work?
When a detection device triggers an alarm condition, the security system sends a digital message to the Monitoring ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) via 2G/3G/4G (LTE) mobile technologies, your broadband connection, or any combination of these. The operator will then call the premises or key holder to verify the alarm in accordance with the instructions you have provided.
Is an Alarm Monitoring Centre suitable for you?
The answer depends on your profession and self-reliance. If you or another family member can respond to alarms during working hours, enabling you to contact the police if needed, then an alarm centre may not be necessary.
By default, all alerts generated by your Ajax alarm system are delivered to your smartphone and potentially those of your housemates or family members. In response to these alerts, you or a family member can take appropriate action.
While we offer comprehensive monitoring services, it’s important to note that we do not directly initiate local police response. We offer keyholder or guard response only.

Standard Call-Out Charge £95.00
For our existing customers, the standard call-out charge is a minimum of £95.00. This fee covers the visit, assessment, and any minor adjustments or basic troubleshooting carried out during the call-out.
Please note:
Additional charges may apply for replacement parts or materials.
Further work beyond the initial call-out may incur extra costs, which will be discussed with you beforehand.
Extended time spent on-site if required.
