Ajax Remote Monitoring Service (ARC)
Annually Contracted Service
Ajax Intruder Alarm & Ajax CCTV System
We partner with an accredited Ajax Specialist Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to deliver secure, 24/7 remote monitoring for your property. Our Ajax Systems accredited alarm solution provides dependable protection, peace of mind, and visual verification, helping incidents to be identified quickly and accurately.
Ajax Specialist Alarm Monitoring
What is ARC monitoring?
Our Ajax Remote Monitoring Service provides 24/7 professional monitoring of your security system through a certified Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). This service ensures that any alarm activation is assessed quickly and accurately, giving you peace of mind that your property is protected at all times.
An Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is a professional, 24/7 security monitoring facility staffed by trained operators who receive and assess alarm signals from your Ajax system in real time. When an alarm is triggered, the ARC follows agreed procedures to verify the alert and notify the appropriate keyholder contacts.
Keyholder Contact List
As part of the monitoring setup, you will be asked to provide a keyholder contact list for your property. When an alarm activation is received, the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) will begin calling the contacts in the order you have provided.
If the first contact does not answer, the ARC will move to the second, then the third, and continue down the list until someone is reached or all contacts have been attempted. This ensures the best possible chance of contacting a responsible person quickly in the event of an alarm.
We recommend that at least one person on the list is a keyholder who can attend the property if required.
You can update your contact list at any time by notifying us, and we recommend keeping this information up to date to avoid delays during an incident.
Emergency Events Covered
Intrusion
Fire
Panic Button
Water Leak Detection
System Malfunction
All monitored events are received and handled by the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The ARC will follow the agreed response procedures and contact your nominated keyholders or the emergency services where appropriate.
Key Benefits of Ajax ARC Monitoring
24/7 professional monitoring by trained operators
Fast verification of alarm events using photos and live CCTV where available
Reduced false alarms through visual confirmation technology
Faster, more informed responses based on real-time event data
Instant alerts sent directly to your mobile app
CCTV monitoring configured to suit your privacy and security preferences
Suitable for both residential and commercial properties
With professional monitoring in place, you gain reassurance that any alarm event is assessed quickly and handled with the appropriate response.
When the ARC Views CCTV Footage
The Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is technically able to access your Ajax Systems CCTV cameras at any time, but footage is only viewed when a verified security event occurs.
These events can include intrusion alarms, panic button activations, or configured video alerts such as human or vehicle detection.
As part of your setup, you can choose whether camera monitoring is armed or disarmed:
When monitoring is armed, relevant alerts are sent to the ARC for review.
When monitoring is disarmed, these alerts are not monitored by the ARC.
If an alert is received, an ARC operator will briefly check the live camera view to understand what is happening and decide the appropriate response.
You also have full control over which cameras are connected to ARC monitoring, allowing you to tailor the system to your privacy preferences and security needs.
Reliable Communication and Backup Paths
Alarm signals are transmitted using secure communication paths, including mobile data (2G, 3G, or 4G LTE), broadband, or both. This dual-path communication ensures reliable monitoring, so if one connection fails, the system can continue to send alarms to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) without interruption. For maximum reliability, it is strongly recommended to include our Ajax Hub SIM Card Service, providing an independent mobile backup path that helps maintain communication even during broadband outages or power disruptions.
Unlimited Ajax Alarm Device Monitoring Included NEW
Our alarm monitoring service covers your entire Ajax system, with no limits on the number of connected devices. Whether your system includes multiple detectors, sirens, keypads, or panic buttons, every component is monitored as part of your subscription.
This ensures complete protection across your property without additional monitoring charges as your system grows or evolves.
Mobile Panic Alerts with GPS Location NEW
When the panic button is activated in the Ajax mobile app, the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) can view the device’s GPS location. This means that if a customer is away from the property and triggers the panic alert remotely, the ARC can identify the location of the activation and promptly contact the nominated emergency contacts for that account.
This ensures a rapid and informed response, whether the user is on site or elsewhere, providing complete peace of mind that the appropriate people will be notified immediately in the event of an emergency.
Remote Siren Activation & Deterrent NEW
As part of our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) service, operators can take immediate, proactive action if suspicious activity is detected on site. If an individual is observed who should not be present, the monitoring operator can remotely activate the panic function and trigger the Ajax external sirens.
This instant audible response acts as a powerful deterrent, draws attention to the premises, and clearly signals that the site is being actively monitored, helping to prevent escalation before further action is required.
Ajax Photo Verification NEW
Ajax photo verification allows alarms to be visually confirmed within seconds. When a motion detector with a built-in camera, such as an Ajax Superior Motion Cam HD (PhOD), is triggered, it captures a series of real images and securely sends them to the ARC and the property owner via the Ajax app.
Trained operators review these images to determine whether the alarm is genuine. This significantly reduces false alarms and enables faster, more accurate responses to real security threats. This added layer of verification ensures the correct action is taken when it matters most.
Arming and Disarming Ajax CCTV Cameras NEW
Your Ajax Systems CCTV cameras can be armed or disarmed depending on when you want monitoring to take place.
When cameras are armed, AI object detection events such as people or vehicles will generate notifications that can be reviewed by the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). This allows operators to assess activity and respond if required. Cameras are typically armed when the premises are closed or unoccupied, as the ARC should not receive notifications while customers, staff, or family members are present during normal use.
When cameras are disarmed, object detection notifications are not monitored by the ARC. The cameras may still record footage within your system, but alerts will not trigger a monitoring response.
This flexible setup allows you to control when your property is actively monitored, helping balance security coverage with privacy and everyday activity on site.
Remote Fault Monitoring NEW
If an issue requires on site attention, the ARC will notify our engineers immediately so we can attend and resolve the problem quickly. This proactive approach helps reduce downtime, minimise false alarms, and ensures your security system remains fully operational at all times.
Remote Fault Monitoring & Support NEW
Through our ARC service, you have the option for the ARC to securely access your Ajax system remotely, for example during a fault or technical issue. Operators can review alerts, identify errors, and mute non critical notifications where appropriate to prevent unnecessary disruption.
If an issue requires on site attention, the ARC will notify our engineers immediately so we can attend and resolve the problem quickly. This proactive approach helps reduce downtime, minimise false alarms, and ensures your security system remains fully operational at all times.
Ajax Speakerphone for Live Two Way Communication NEW
The Ajax Speakerphone is a standalone device that enables the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to communicate directly with your property in real time. In the event of an alarm activation, panic alert, or other emergency, the ARC can use the speakerphone to assess the situation, issue verbal warnings, provide instructions, and coordinate an appropriate response.
This added layer of live communication ensures incidents are managed quickly and effectively, providing enhanced security and reassurance whether you are on site or away from the property.
If only one speakerphone is installed at the facility, it will activate after any on site alarm event. In larger facilities with multiple speakerphones, devices are activated only when detectors within the same room or security group are triggered. The monitoring operator can also switch between speakerphones to gain a clearer understanding of the situation across the site.
Up to 10 Ajax Speakerphone devices can be connected to a single Hub.
Guard Response Service NEW
The Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) also offers a Guard Response service, providing trained security personnel to attend your property in the event of a verified alarm. Please note that this service is available at an additional cost.

What Happens When an Alarm Is Triggered with Alarm Monitoring
When an Ajax detection device, such as the Ajax Superior MotionCam HD, is triggered, an alarm signal and images are sent to both the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and the property owner. ARC operators review the alarm and images to verify the situation and will contact the keyholder contacts to confirm whether the alarm is genuine and determine the appropriate response.
Ajax MotionCam HD (PhOD) detectors capture a configurable series of one to five photos and can create a video slideshow, providing clear visual evidence of any intrusion. Video sequences or photos appear as notifications in the mobile app and can be downloaded directly to the owner’s phone for easy reference.
If the primary keyholder contact does not respond, the monitoring centre will contact the next person on the list, ensuring alarms are always addressed promptly. This same process applies to other emergencies, including fire, flood, and panic situations, providing enhanced security and peace of mind at no extra cost.
The maximum number of video scenarios supported depends on the hub: Hub 2 supports up to 32 scenarios, while Hub 2 Plus supports up to 64 scenarios.
A broadband internet connection or an Ajax Sim Card Service is required to access this service remotely via the ARC.
Note: Features and specifications may change over time.
What Happens When an Alarm Is Triggered with CCTV Monitoring
For Ajax CCTV systems subscribed to the Ajax Alarm Remote Monitoring Service (ARC), CCTV can be integrated with the intruder alarm to create a unified platform for professional monitoring and reliable alarm verification.
Once installed, video scenarios can be enabled to enhance security. When a protected area, such as a patio door shock sensor, is triggered, the linked CCTV camera automatically captures a series of 10 high-resolution photos and creates a video slideshow. This footage is sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) along with the alarm event.
Trained operators can access both live video streams and captured images from selected cameras or the entire system when required. They assess the situation and notify the keyholder contact to verify the alarm and review the footage.

Police Response Explained
Important Note: Police response is only triggered where there is verified evidence of a crime in progress. When the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) receives clear photo verification of an intruder, live CCTV confirmation, or multiple sequential alarm activations that strongly indicate unlawful activity, this may be treated as a confirmed alarm event. In such cases, the ARC may contact the police first, followed by notifying the property owner.
Police response does not occur automatically for standard alarm activations. The ARC must be able to verify that an active incident is taking place through visual confirmation, such as MotionCam HD images, live CCTV viewing, or confirmed sequential activations that strongly indicate unlawful activity. Police attendance may also be requested by the homeowner, business owner, or a member of the public who witnesses a crime in progress.
Please note that we do not provide URNs. A URN (Unique Reference Number) is issued by the police to approved security systems for priority response. Without a URN, all activations follow standard alarm response procedures.
Our monitoring service ensures rapid notifications, accurate verification, and clear communication, but it does not guarantee direct police dispatch.

Photo Verification in HD with Ajax Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD)
HDR Technology
Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) Jeweller is equipped with an advanced optical system, a CMOS sensor, and HDR technology. HDR, or High Dynamic Range, enhances both colors and contrast, ensuring photos appear natural without overexposure or overly dark shadows.
HD Photos
In addition to HDR, the HD (High Definition) technology steps in to enhance image clarity and sharpness. Text, faces, and other details in photos taken by the detector become sharper and more legible.
Turbo Wings Protocol
Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) Jeweller not only captures excellent detail in photos but also transmits them to the app at incredible speed. This is possible thanks to TurboWings – Ajax Systems’ enhanced data transfer protocol.
For optimal security, Ajax Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) devices are strategically installed to provide clear visual verification of any intrusion. For instance, a MotionCam HD (PhOD) is positioned in the hallway, facing the main entry/exit door, ensuring immediate detection and visual confirmation of unauthorised access.
Additional units are placed at key entry points such as patio doors, bi-fold doors, and kitchen doors, offering comprehensive coverage. This setup enhances security by capturing real-time images upon motion detection, enabling swift verification and a rapid response to potential threats.
Ajax CCTV ONVIF/RTSP
Coming Soon!
The most recent updates have added ONVIF/RTSP authorization for Ajax video devices, enabling Ajax cameras and video recorders to connect seamlessly with third-party video surveillance systems, including major video management systems (VMSs). This integration maintains all the features and functionality of the Ajax ecosystem and its applications.
With ONVIF authorization, Ajax cameras and NVRs can now transmit video streams directly to third-party clients via the standard ONVIF protocol, allowing them to operate independently of the Ajax Cloud.
