How does Alarm Monitoring work?
When an Ajax detection device, such as the Ajax Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD), is triggered, an alarm signal and images of the intrusion are sent to both the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and the property owner.
Using Ajax Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) devices enhances security by providing photo verification of intrusions. These devices capture real-time images, allowing both the ARC and the property owner to assess the situation and take appropriate action.
If the primary contact does not respond, the monitoring centre will call the next person on the site contact list, ensuring a swift response to alarm activations. The site contact list can include multiple contacts.
This process also applies to other emergencies, such as fire, flood, and panic situations, providing enhanced security and peace of mind at no extra cost.
Alerts are transmitted via 2G/3G/4G (LTE), broadband, or both, ensuring reliable communication.
For optimal security, Ajax Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) devices are strategically installed to provide clear visual verification of any intrusion. For instance, a MotionCam HD (PhOD) is positioned in the hallway, facing the main entry/exit door, ensuring immediate detection and visual confirmation of unauthorised access.
Additional units are placed at key entry points such as patio doors, bi-fold doors, and kitchen doors, offering comprehensive coverage. This setup enhances security by capturing real-time images upon motion detection, enabling swift verification and a rapid response to potential threats.

HD Photos
In addition to HDR, the HD (High Definition) technology steps in to enhance image clarity and sharpness. Text, faces, and other details in photos taken by the detector become sharper and more legible.

This Visual Verification Remote Monitoring service is exclusively available to N.S.L Security Systems Ltd customers. It is designed to provide enhanced security and peace of mind, ensuring that only our clients benefit from professional monitoring and rapid response solutions.
Important Note: If the ARC receives clear photo verification of an intruder or visible signs of a break-in, indicating a crime in progress, they will contact the police for an immediate response, followed by notifying the property owner. Using Ajax Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) devices provides accurate visual evidence of an intrusion, significantly increasing the likelihood of police intervention. However, without photo verification or visible signs of a break-in, the monitoring centre will not contact the police. Instead, the property owner will be notified of the alarm trigger.

The Ajax Intruder Alarm System integrates seamlessly with Ajax CCTV cameras to enhance security through alarm verification. Video scenarios allow alarm triggers to be supported by footage captured by cameras installed on the property.
If you have an Ajax CCTV system, we can integrate it with your Ajax Intruder Alarm system, bringing both components into the same ecosystem. Our team will configure video scenarios to verify alarms and capture backup footage when an alarm is triggered. Up to 10 images will be taken and compiled into a video slideshow, providing clear visual evidence of any intrusion. Trained operators will assess the situation and notify the property owner to verify the alarm and the images. If a crime is in progress, the property owner can contact the police directly.

The most recent updates have added ONVIF/RTSP authorization for Ajax video devices, enabling Ajax cameras and video recorders to connect seamlessly with third-party video surveillance systems, including major video management systems (VMSs). This integration maintains all the features and functionality of the Ajax ecosystem and its applications.
With ONVIF authorization, Ajax cameras and NVRs can now transmit video streams directly to third-party clients via the standard ONVIF protocol, allowing them to operate independently of the Ajax Cloud.

The Ajax CCTV Monitoring Service, which offers direct access to both live viewing and playback, is currently unavailable to the Alarm Receiving Centre. However, these features will be available soon. In the meantime, video scenarios can still be used to enhance security by capturing essential snapshots when needed.
We do not offer an Ajax Alarm Monitoring Service (ARC) with police response.
For those requiring NSI or SSAIB-certified systems, these accreditations enable local police response. However, maintaining compliance involves additional costs, including a mandatory Remote Monitoring Service (ARC) and an annual Maintenance Service contract. These ongoing requirements can significantly increase long-term expenses, making it a substantial financial commitment. Before opting for this level of certification, it’s important to assess whether it aligns with your security needs and budget.

Our Grade 2 alarm-certified solution provides additional peace of mind and protection, along with visual verification and home automation features, ensuring 24-hour security.
How does Alarm Monitoring work?
When a detection device triggers an alarm condition, the security system sends a digital message to the Monitoring ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) via 2G/3G/4G (LTE) mobile technologies, your broadband connection, or any combination of these. The operator will then call the premises or key holder to verify the alarm in accordance with the instructions you have provided.
Is an Alarm Monitoring Centre suitable for you?
The answer depends on your profession and self-reliance. If you or another family member can respond to alarms during working hours, enabling you to contact the police if needed, then an alarm centre may not be necessary.
By default, all alerts generated by your Ajax alarm system are delivered to your smartphone and potentially those of your housemates or family members. In response to these alerts, you or a family member can take appropriate action.
While we offer comprehensive monitoring services, it’s important to note that we do not directly initiate local police response. We offer keyholder or guard response only.
Ajax Alarm Monitoring signalling-type packages are available on an annual basis.
